The Fiore team is nearing completion on a major redevelopment effort at the heart of the Northglenn Civic Center, the full demolition of the former Northglenn City Hall. Originally built in 1981, the 41,682-square-foot structure once served as home to the Council Chambers, City Clerk’s Office, Courts, the Police Department, and several other essential city services. Today, we’re helping usher in its next evolution.
This project involves the complete demolition of the building and the careful removal of associated foundations, slabs, and non-recyclable materials. Wherever possible, salvageable concrete and other materials are being responsibly recycled, supporting the City’s sustainability goals and Fiore’s own commitment to environmental stewardship.
A major component of this project includes the abatement of asbestos-containing and regulated materials such as flooring, pipe sealant, and sink coatings performed under strict containment and safety controls. These efforts ensure the site is fully compliant with environmental regulations and safe for future development.
Beyond the structure itself, site demolition extends to the removal of surrounding trees, shrubs, landscaping elements, asphalt paving, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, and additional site improvements adjacent to the building. All work is completed with proper utility terminations, continuous dust suppression, and rigorous safety protocols, following the approved demolition plan and all applicable permits.
From environmental compliance to precision execution, each phase of this project reflects Fiore’s dedication to safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible demolition practices.
As the last walls come down, the former City Hall site is being readied for its next purpose. Soon, the space will be transformed into expanded parking for the Civic Center area, improving accessibility and supporting future community needs.
Fiore is proud to be part of Northglenn’s progress, laying the groundwork for what comes next. More updates to come as we wrap up this exciting transformation!
