This was an extremely high-profile project in the heart of downtown Denver and on the banks of the South Platte River. Fiore provided extensive pre-planning and value engineering to the design team throughout the bidding phase of this project. These efforts proved successful, as the project exceeded owner expectations by delivering an entirely new wet utility network for Swinerton and Golub, earning Fiore an “Excellence in Pre-Construction” award from Swinerton.

The stormwater system was one of the largest networks that Fiore has ever constructed. It included a twin 84” Contech Underground Detention System, multiple Water Treatment and Storm Filtration Vaults, and a 100’x100’ Underground Detention Vault, all of which drains to the South Platte River. An existing storm channel had to be bypassed in order to bring this new system online, which required a temporary storm bypass to be constructed to divert stormwater until the new system was complete.
