A Fiore Flashback
1890 – 1950S
Great grandparents grew celery on 10 acres along Clear Creek in unincorporated Adams Co.
1959
Son of Italian-immigrants farmers. Eddie Fiore Trucking…with only 1 truck on land he homesteaded.
1960
Eddie sells aggregate mining rights on family farm-hauled gravel and materials as Star Landscaping. Son, Larry Fiore repaired trucks, at age 14 was driving, attended Ford Diesel school at 16 and graduated.
1972
Larry pursues large grading and earth moving projects. Changes name to Fiore & Sons Excavating.
1979
Becomes a C Corp. - United Bank Bldg aka Cash Register Bldg and Stapleton Airport tank expansion.
1982
Ed Fiore retires. Sells to Larry and Diane Fiore marking 2nd generation of ownership. Sons assist.
1985
Expands operations into large commercial construction. Enters bid market for unprecedented growth.
2000
Larry & Diane transfer ownership to Mike, Tony, Butch and David marking 3rd generation of ownership.
2005
Fiore & Sons, Inc. sets record growth with over 70% increase in revenues.
2016
275 employees, 300 pieces of equipment, provides civil contracting & management services including earthwork, demo, site utilities, excavation, trucking, overlot & finish grading and environmental services.
2017
Fiore & Sons expands corporate offices to 80 East 62nd Avenue, former ‘Home of Wonder Bread’, a Legacy property for a Legacy Family…and that’s the “greatest thing since sliced bread.”
2020
Best Places To Work’s Top 5! (Giant Category) by the Denver Business Journal.
Surpassed over 300 employees averaging 750,000 work hours.
2021
Best Places To Work’s Top 5! (Giant Category) by the Denver Business Journal.
Awarded CCA coveted traveling safety award.
